Team History

As one of the AL’s charter teams in 1901, the Orioles boast quite the history. From 1966 to 1983, Baltimore made six World Series appearances, winning three of them behind the play of the aforementioned Robinson, Palmer, and Murray. Frank Robinson, another Hall of Famer, also played an integral role of the organization’s success during this time.

Entering the 2019 season, the Orioles have won seven AL pennants and nine division titles. Baltimore has reached the postseason via the wild card three times, the last of which being in 2016.

It’s only a matter of time until the Orioles find themselves playing October baseball once again. The O’s, who have called Camden Yards their home ballpark since 1992, are currently managed by Brandon Hyde with Peter Angelos serving as the owner.

Photo File can help you take your Orioles passion to the next level! With Photo File, you never have to worry about poor quality images. As curators of MLB history, we’re just as passionate about Orioles baseball as you are.
