Founded in 1959, the Chargers spent their first season in Los Angeles before moving to San Diego two years later. The California-based franchise has been to the playoffs 18 times, won their division 15 times, and won a conference championship in 1994.

The Chargers have seen a number of players enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, from Dan Fouts and Charlie Joyner to Junior Seau and LaDainian Tomlinson. Head coach Sid Gillman, who roamed the sidelines from 1960-1971, was inducted in 1983.

Through the years, the Chargers have played at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum (1960), Balboa Stadium (1961-1966), SDCCU Stadium (1967-2016), and StubHub Center (2017-present).
