Since 1965, the Miami Dolphins have been rocking downtown Miami with incredible football teams. With two Super Bowl championships (1972, 1973) to their name, the Dolphins had an especially impressive early history. In addition to both Super Bowl victories, the Dolphins have also won five conference championships, 13 division championships, and made 23 playoff appearances.

It’s impossible to talk about the success of the Miami Dolphins without mentioning Don Shula, the coach who led the Dolphins to both Super Bowl victories. Shula coached incredible talent, including Hall of Famers like Paul Warfield, Larry Csonka, Jim Langer, Bob Griese, and Larry Little.

In the 1980s, Dan Marino led the team to greatness during his incredible 17 seasons with the Dolphins. As quarterback, Marino, who was eventually inducted to the Hall of Fame, was the first in NFL history to throw for 4,000 yards (or more) in four different seasons. While he doesn’t have any Super Bowl victories to his name, he was elected to nine Pro Bowls and was recognized as the NFL MVP for the 1984 season.
