Since 1960, the Oakland Raiders have been swaggering boisterously, growling in the storm, and, of course, pillaging just for fun.

Even though they’re a relatively newer team in the NFL, the Oakland Raiders have three Super Bowl championships to their name (1976, 1980, and 1983). They also have an impressive 22 playoff appearances, including 15 division championships and four conference championships.

John Madden was imperative to the Oakland Raiders’ early success, as he boats the second highest overall winning percentage in NFL history. Indeed, of his 10 seasons as head coach, Madden never had a losing season.

Another Jon (Gruden) is also crucial to Oakland Raiders’ history. Gruden originally coached the Raiders in 1998, then left for a successful career as a sports analyst. Now, he’s back in Oakland and hoping to reshape the Silver and Black.

In addition to these celebrity coaches, the Raiders also have their fair share of Hall-of-Fame players. Oakland greats include Randy Moss, Ken Stabler, Warren Sapp, Jerry RIce, Howie Long, and Art Shell.
